Schools Programme for TY Students

Carlow Volunteer Centre has developed and delivered the “Make a Difference” Volunteer Programme to engage Transition Year Students with the idea of volunteering. The programme aims to:

• Deepen young people’s knowledge and understanding of volunteering
• Explore the opportunities and possible barriers to volunteering
• Showcase real life experience of volunteers
• Explore the impact of volunteering
• Examine volunteer opportunities for Transition Year students.

Carlow Volunteer Centre can offer this programme in four or six weeks. Each module is interactive and encourages students to become active participants in their own learning and in the discussion of volunteering.
