Welcome to the Carlow Volunteer Centre

In Carlow Volunteer Centre we are passionate about volunteering and Carlow County is a great place to volunteer. Volunteering enriches communities, gives volunteers an opportunity to develop personally, and puts giving at the heart of how we all live.

Carlow Volunteer Centr Centre has concluded the happenings for the National Volunteer Week 2017 with their annual Thank You Event in the Seven Oaks Hotel this Friday 26th May. This event embodies all the gratitude our communities have for the volunteers who dedicate their time & effort to contribut to local organisations' efforts to help those in need.

Without these volunteers a lot of organisations would not be able to operate and provide the quality of service that they do.

The event was kindly sponsored by UNUM, treated almost 270 volunteers, representing 30 different voluntary groups to scones, cakes and a cuppa while enjoying inspiring speeches by Brian Cody (Kilkenny GAA) and Mary Smyth (founding member of Eist Cancer Support Group).

Carlow Volunteer Centre are delighted to have this wonderful opportunity to thank all the volunteers and community groups for supporting the event as well as continuing their contributions to the welfare of local communities in Carlow county. In 2016, volunteers registered with Carlow Volunteer Centre, contributed almost 20,000 hours volunteering in Carlow which represents an economic gift of almost €400,000.

If you are thinking of volunteering, why not contact one of the team on 059 9173033 to make a one to one appointment or find us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. We look forward to hearing from you.
